At first I thought imagery was writing that shows you exaxctally how the author wants you to see it as, and I was almost right. Imagery is writing that appeals to the five senses. I also learned about figuritive language. I really had no clue what figuritive language was. But I found out that it is writing that is meant to be understood on more than just a literal level. The three types of figuritive language are metaphors, similies, and personification.
